Loosen the
two
jam nuts in the middle of the BBC
cable as shown in Figure
101.
Rotate the nuts up
to make the spring smaller or down to make the
spring longer. Continue adjustment until
the
over-travel spring measures

NOTE: On 1990 and newer BBC cables use a
finger tip adjustment at the gearbox end.
Tighten the jam nuts by
turning them in opposite
directions.
Remove the tape from the handle and disengage
the blade.
Install the screen panel with
the two flanged head
self-tapping screws. Make sure that the
top edge
o f
the screen panel is under the
lip at the top of
the housing.
