2. Clean around the spark plug and remove it from the
cylinder head.
Important: Replace a cracked, fouled, or dirty
spark plug. Do not sand blast, scrape, or clean
electrodes because engine damage could result
from grit entering the cylinder.
3. Ensure that the air gap is correct

4. Install the correctly gapped spark plug and tighten it to
23 N-m (17 ft.-lb).
5. Install the spark plug wire on the spark plug.

1. Close the fuel shut–off valve and unscrew the bowl
from the filter body
