SYMPTOM
Bad cuts (off square)
Bad cuts (too rough)
Blade is twisting

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Feed pressure too high (on tubes and
profiles)
Incorrect blade toothing for the material
being cut
Incorrect cutting speed for the workpiece
being cut
Guide bearings improperly adjusted
Incorrect positioning of the workpiece in
the clamp
Inadequate blade tension
Dull blade
Speed incorrect
Blade guides spaced out too much
Blade guide assembly loose
Worn blade or unsuited teeth for the
material thickness
Too much speed or feed
Blade is too coarse
Blade tension is loose
Cut is binding the blade
Too much blade tension
Excessive wear on the rubber coating of
the pulleys (wheel tires)
Blade slips on the pulleys
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Reduce cutting pressure
Check saw blade TPI guidelines
Check cutting speed guidelines
Check adjustment of the blade guides
Check the position of the workpiece and
that it is held securely in the clamp
Check tension
Replace blade
Adjust speed
Tighten blade guides gap
Tighten
Check the cutting parameters (blade
tooth, cutting speed)
Decrease
Replace with finer blade
Tighten
Decrease feed pressure

Have pulleys checked and if necessary
