Battery Removal

8. Engine Control Module (ECM) unit
Remove the seat (see page 56).
Disconnect the battery leads, negative
(black) lead first.
Release the brake/tail
accessory cables.
Release the fixing on the Engine Control
Module (ECM) unit.
Lift the ECM unit and place to the side
allowing access to the battery.
Note:
• Make sure that the ECM unit is
handled with
battery removal
process.
Remove the battery strap.
Detach the USB
position aside.
Take the battery out of the case.
