Potential uses and functions of the back of the wheelchair
Folding down the backrest of the wheelchair.
You can fold down the back of your wheelchair by operating the lever at the back of you wheelchair and fold it
down. See picture 28.

Using the rear wheel and anti-tip wheels
Removal of the rear wheel
You can remove your rear wheels using the quick release system in the following way: -
Tilt your wheelchair slightly so the wheel you wish to remove is slightly off the ground, see figure....

Press the black button in the centre on the wheel and remove the axle and wheel from the frame. Make
-
sure the black button is completely pressed in otherwise the ball bearing safety system that stops the
wheel from being removed at the opposite side of the axle will do exactly that.
To put the rear wheel back in place you must reverse the above steps. In order to ensure your safety please
-
make sure the axle is fully in place and the ball bearing system is engaged so the wheel does not come
loose during use.
Adjustments to your Wheelchair
1. Rear Wheel
1.1 Self Propel Wheel (G4, G5 and G6)
Using the axle bracket to alter the rear wheel position. For vertical adjustment please remove the bracket and
adjust accordingly, either high or low.
Replace the fasteners. For horizontal movement, remove the axle boss and reposition in one of the 6 real
wheel positioning points in the axle plate. NOTE: Ensure that all fixings are secure after any adjustments.
