3. Troubleshooting
Problem
Printing does not start.

[List / Test Print] is disabled.
Printing does not start when
using the extended wireless
LAN in Ad-hoc Mode.
If printing does not start, contact your service representative.

Cause
If the printer is using wireless
LAN, the receiver's MAC
address may be preventing
communication with the access
point.
The Login User Name, Login
Password, or Driver Encryption
Key is incorrect.
Advanced encryption has been
set using the Extended Security
function.
A mechanical error might have
occurred.
The correct Communication
Mode is not set.
Solution
Check the access point settings
when using the infrastructure
mode. Depending on the access
point, client access may be
filtered by MAC address. Also,
check that there are no
transmission problems between
the access point and wired
clients, and between the access
point and wireless clients.
Check the Login User Name,
Login Password, and Driver
Encryption Key.
Check the settings of the
Extended Security function. For
details about Extended Security
function settings, see Security
Guide.
Contact your service
representative.
• Turn the main power switch
off and then back on
again. For details about
how to turn on/off the
main power switch, see
page 17 "Turning On/Off
the Power".
• Change [Communication
Mode] in [System Settings]
to [802.11 Ad-hoc
Mode], and then select
[Off] for [Security
Method]. For details about
Communication Mode, see
"Host Interface",
Operating Instructions.
