Engine oil level
1. Check:
9 Engine oil level
Above a → Check for diluted engine
oil and any water leaks.
Below b → Add engine oil so that the
level is between a and b.
Engine oil replacement
1. Remove:
9 Oil filler cap 1
9 Drain plug 2
2. Remove:
9 Oil filter 3
Oil filter wrench:
90890-01426
3. Install:
9 Drain plug 2
4. Install:
9 Oil filter 3
Oil filter:
18 Nm (1.8 m•kg, 13 ft•lb)
NOTE:
9 Lubricate the rubber seal with engine oil
and tighten the oil filter by hand.
9 Then, tighten the oil filter to the specified
tightening torque with the oil filter wrench.
5. Fill:
9 Engine oil 4
(into the crankcase)
Recommended engine oil:
4-stroke engine oil
API: SE, SF, SG, or SH
SAE: 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40 or 20W-40
Oil quantity:
With new oil filter
1,200 cm
(40.6 US oz, 42.2 Imp oz)
Without oil filter
1,000 cm
(33.8 US oz, 35.2 Imp oz)
