Basic handset operation
To make a call using a line:

To make a call using a headset:

Answer a call

The handset rings or vibrates to alert you of an incoming call. Additionally, a line
number on the display flashes, and the display shows information about the call, such
as the caller's name and extension.
To answer a call:

key to enter the active (idle) state.

(1 through 6) for the desired line.

Dial the number. Dial calls exactly as
you would with a regular telephone. You
can dial extension numbers, internal
numbers, or make external calls,
depending on your system.

Connect the headset to the headset jack.

Follow the steps in "Make a call" on
page 25 to make your call.
