Connecting optional A/V
components
To enhance your system, you can connect optional
components. Refer to the operating instructions of
each component.
Connecting the audio cords (not
supplied)
When using audio cords (not supplied) to connect
other A/V components to the system, make sure to
insert the plugs firmly, pushing them in all the
way. No sound will be produced if the plugs are
not inserted securely.

Connecting the optional
TC-TX373 tape deck (except for
Taiwan model)
The TC-TX373 is a tape deck made specially for
the DHC-MD373/333, but it can also be used with
the CMT-F3MD. The connections and operation
are the same as when connected to the DHC-
MD373.
CD Synchro Recording and Timer Recording are
possible when the TAPE CONTROL jacks are
connected.
Refer to the operating instructions included with
the TC-TX373 tape deck for details.
Refer to the illustration below and connect the
tape deck using the same procedures as for the
DHC-MD373 as described under"Connection to
the DHC-MD373/333" (pages 4 to 7) of the
TC-TX373 operating instructions.

A
• The
and B markings of the TAPE IN/OUT
jacks guide you to connect the optional TC-TX373
tape deck.
• Operate the tape deck using the same procedures as
for the DHC-MD373 as described under
"Operations" (pages 7 to 13) of the TC-TX373
operating instructions.
• The remote controller buttons that can be used to
operate the tape deck with the CMT-F3MD are as
follows.
– )/1 (power) switch
– N (play) button
– x (stop) button
– X (pause) button
– m/M (fast-forward/rewind) button
– TAPE button
– VOL +/– buttons
• Switch the function to "TAPE" when listening to or
recording the sound of the TC-TX373 tape deck.
Connecting another tape deck,
etc.
Connect a tape deck, etc., to the TAPE IN and
OUT jacks on the rear panel of the unit, using
audio connecting cords (not supplied).
