5. Starter relay
8 Disconnect the starter relay coupler from
the coupler.
8 Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) and
battery (12 V) to the starter
8 relay coupler as shown.
Positive battery terminal
Negative battery terminal
Positive tester probe

8 Does the starter relay have continuity be-
tween red3 and red 4?
YES

6. Main switch
8Check the main switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
8Is the main switch OK?
YES
