Useful head of pump
Novella RAI PV series boilers are pre-fitted
with a pump to which all water and electrical
connections have already been made. Pump
performance is illustrated by the curves in the
following graph.

On initial start-up and at least every year,
check that all the pumps in the system

rotate freely. Sludge and limescale can
build up and cause seizure, especially
after long periods of disuse.

Never run the pump dry.
Boiler's water-side pressure drop
Novella RAI boilers come without a pump. A
pump must therefore be provided as part of
the installation. In order to choose a pump of

The pump is configured in the factory to run at
maximum speed, i.e. speed III. Slower pump
speeds may nevertheless be set with low load
loss systems in order to reduce energy con-
sumption.
