IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put the power cord, power plug, motor housing or cover in water
or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power cord or power plug or after the appliance malfunctions or
has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an authorized Panasonic service center for examination,
repair, or adjustment.
7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
10. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
11. Where applicable, always attach plug to appliance and check that the control is OFF before plugging cord into wall
outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.
12. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
13. Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
14. Keep hands and utensils out of the blender container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons
or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the blender is not running.
15. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
16. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blade without the blender container properly attached.
17. Always operate the blender with the cover in place.
18. The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a risk of injury
to persons.
19. When blending hot liquids, make sure the cover and cap are in place firmly. The cap should be removed only when
adding ingredients and when using the tamper.
20. This appliance is for household use only.
21. Do not use outdoors.

longer cord.

In order to prevent accidents or injuries to the user, other people, and damage to property, please follow the
instructions below.

This symbol indicates prohibition.
This symbol indicates requirement that must be followed.
WARNING
To prevent electric shock, fire due to short circuit, burns or serious injury.
● Do not damage the power cord or power plug.
Following actions are strictly prohibited.
Modifying, touching on or placing near heating elements, bending,
twisting, pulling, pulled over sharp edges, putting heavy objects on
top, bundling the power cord and carrying the appliance by the
power cord.
● Do not use the appliance if the power cord or power plug is damaged or the power plug is
loosely connected to the outlet.
(It may cause electric shock, or fire due to short circuit.)
→ If the power cord is damaged, contact a Panasonic authorized service center (see back cover for contact).
● Do not plug or unplug the power plug with wet hands.
● Make sure the voltage of the outlet is the same as that indicated on the label of this appliance.
Also avoid plugging other devices into the same outlet to prevent electrical overheating. If you are connecting
a number of power plugs, make sure the total wattage does not exceed the rated wattage of the outlet.
● Insert the power plug firmly.
(It may cause electric shock and fire due to heat that may be generated around the power plug.)
● Clean the power plug regularly.
(Dust and moisture build-up on the power plug may cause insufficient insulation, which may cause a fire.)
→ Unplug the power plug, and wipe with a dry cloth.
