This chapter includes information on connecting your interactive flat panel to power, computers
and other devices.
In a typical installation, you connect your interactive flat panel to
a room computer and up to one guest laptop (SMART Board
8070i-G4-SMP interactive flat panels) or to a room computer and
up to two guest laptops (SMART Board 8084i-G4-SMP
interactive flat panels). You can also connect external speakers,
DVD players, document cameras and other devices.
NOTES
This chapter assumes that you installed the I/O extension module (see Installation

instructions on page 10).
The connections in this chapter are based on the default USB mappings. However, you can
l
customize these mappings (see page 73 for SMART Board 8070i-G4-SMP interactive flat
panels or page 81 for SMART Board 8084i-G4-SMP interactive flat panels).
