Troubleshooting

Not every fault necessarily means the equipment is defect. Maybe one of the tips
below can help make the telephone operational again. Refer to the faults below,
check the causes and implement the corrective measures according to the
operating manual.
Fault
Receiver lifted, no
dialling tone.
No calls.
No phone number
assigned to one/two−
touch buttons al-
though programmed.
No indicators in
display
In the case of PBX
systems:
No or incorrect con-
nection after dialling
from a memory, e.g
one−touch dialling.
Yellow LED lights up
continuously when in
standby.
Possible Cause
Telephone line not con-
nected properly.
Receiver cable not con-
nected properly.
Receiver is not placed
properly on−hook or
handsfree is still
switched on (red LED
on).
Ringing tone is set too
quiet.
One/Two−touch buttons
incorrectly programmed
or overwritten / deleted.
Display contrast is
switched off.
Number for an outside
line not entered.
a/b connection wires
swapped over on tele-
phone connection.

Refer below as necessary

Corrective Measures
Connect the telephone line
properly.
Connect the receiver cable
properly.
Place receiver properly on the
hook or switch off handsfree
mode (press Handsfree but-
ton).
Increase ringing tone volume.
Reprogram one/two−touch
buttons, refer to Pages 20
and 21.
Replace receiver and press
D
several times until the
display indicators are easily
legible.
Enter number for an outside
line and insert a dialling
pause, if necessary.
The a/b wires in the UAE
must be changed over.
