(each indicated by an arrow

reverse. After installing the battery, make sure it
is securely retained.

Be sure to observe the following instructions
when storing a battery.
Select a storage place where the battery
fluid will not freeze.
The storage place must be free of any heat
source and well ventilated.
The battery must be kept out of reach of
children.
The battery must be placed with the termi-
nals facing upward. Do not place the bat-
tery on its side. Doing so could cause
battery fluid leakage and a fire.
CAUTION
Install the battery securely in position. If it is left
loose, shocks and vibrations from road surface
could damage the battery case and electrode
plates, shortening battery life.
Remove and clean the air filters (heater or air condi-
tioner filters) with water or compressed air to elimi-
nate dust and dirt at regular intervals (6 months or
so).
Clogged filters may cause inefficient heating or air-
conditioning, and even malfunction of the blower
motor.
WARNING
When cleaning the air filters, wear a dust
mask to avoid inhaling dust. Dust inhalation
can have adverse health effects.
CAUTION
Clean the air filters at shorter intervals if your
vehicle is used frequently in dusty areas.

Disassembly is necessary before the outside air fil-
ter can be cleaned. Have an authorized dealer do
the job.
