If Something Goes Wrong
Hardware Diagnostic Program
Option: 04. Stress test
This test writes test data to the protected mode memory (from 1
MB to maximum), then reads the data and compares it with the
write data (test data) in CPU protected mode. The original data
stored in the target address is copied to a spare address and
restored after the test.

Keyboard Test

To execute the Keyboard Test, select 2 from the DIAGNOSTIC
TEST MENU, press
The Keyboard Test contains three subtests that check the
computer's keyboard and mouse actions. Move the highlight bar
to the subtest you want to execute and press
Option: 01.Pressed key display
TECHNICAL NOTE: The Num Lock and the Overlay mode
must be off to execute this subtest.
When you execute this subtest, the keyboard layout is drawn on
the screen. When you press any key, the corresponding key
appears on the screen. Holding down a key enables the auto-repeat
function which causes the key's displayed character to blink.
Option: 02.Keyboard LED on
The system flashes the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock
LEDs.
TECHNICAL NOTE: The diagnostic program defaults to the
106 (J) Key keyboard. Please change to the 104 (E) Key
keyboard.
