Installing the Software

This section describes how to install the Scanning Utility and ISIS/TWAIN driver
so that you can use the scanner.

Installing the Scanning Utility

Follow the instructions below to install the Scanning Utility and the dedicated
driver.
The dedicated scanner driver is installed after the Scanning Utility has been installed.

Turn ON your computer, and log on to Windows.
Be sure to log on as the Administrator if your system is Windows NT 4.0 Workstation,
Windows 2000 Professional, or Windows XP.
Important

Insert the setup disc into the CD-ROM drive.
This manual assumes that "D" is assigned to your CD-ROM drive.

Click [Start], and then select [Run].
The screen that appears depends on which Windows operating system
you are using.
