7.3.3 Selecting an announcement

Press the softkey»Select anncm.« to select the announcement you wish a
caller to hear.The stored announcements are displayed one after the other by
pressing the softkey. At the same time you can hear the selected announce-
ment over the speaker or the handset of the telephone.
For example: »Anncm.-01«, »Anncm.-02«, ...., »Anncm.-10«.
7.3.4 Activating an announcement for a specific MSN

Press the softkey »ON«, if you wish to enable the announcement for MSN-01.
On the first line of the display the status is switched to »=ON« and the softkey in
the third line changes to »OFF«.
To deactivate an announcement, press the softkey »OFF«.
The display illustrated here is shown once you have
configured the answering machine.
7.3.5 Time control
Using a time-control function you can define that different announcements be played for
callers at different times of day.For this, you can configure nine different time periods for
your phone (»Time 1«, ...»Time 9») that you can then use for the time-control functions
for the individual phone numbers (MSNs).
Time control »Daily«:
With this time-control function you can assign a defined time period to a certain phone
number (MSN) (so-called»Main time«), during which the caller receives a specific an-
nouncement. For other times outside of this period (the so-called »Remaining«) you
can configure a different announcement. This time-control function applies for each day
and can be configured for all MSNs.
Time control »Weekly profile«:
As an alternative, you can define a weekly profile as the time-control function for the
numbers »MSN-1«, »MSN-2« and »MSN-3«.In a weekly profile you can assign two differ-
ent time periods to each day during which different announcements are played
(so-calledmain time).
In the time outside of the selected periods (so-called »Remaining«) you can configure a
different announcement. This announcement is identical for all days defined in the
weekly profile. In addition, you can also assign an operating mode in the weekly profile
for the »Remaining time« that is different than that for the »Main time«. For exam-
ple, you can define that during the »Main time« messages can be left, while during the
»Remaing time« it is not possible to leave a message.
The time-controlled function can only be activated, if you have already switched the
answering machine on for that number (MSN).
