12 Troubleshooting

The table below shows problems and alarms that can occur with Uponor Smatrix Space and describes solutions.
Problem Indication
Fluctuating floor Floor temperature is changing abnormally
temperature between hot and cold in heating mode
Room temperature does not match
setpoint on thermostat, and the actuator
shut on/off on a fixed interval
Room temperature does not match
setpoint on thermostat
The room is too cold Press – or + buttons to display the

Supply water temperature is too high

The thermostat is placed in direct
sunlight or close to other heating
sources
The thermostat setting is incorrect
The thermostat may be influenced by
an external heat source
The actuator does not open
ECO mode
The system is in cooling (heating)
mode
The actuator does not close
No heat demand from the underfloor
heating system
The room is heated by another heat
source
Registration lost
Solutions
Check boiler or shunt
Check the connection of the room
thermostat
Check batteries in room thermostat
Reconnect if the connection is lost
Check placement of the thermostat
according to installation instructions and
change location if needed
Change the temperature setpoint
Change location of the thermostat
Replace the actuator
Contact the installer
Change ECO profile or assign another
profile to the room
Reduce the ECO setback value for the
thermostat
Correct signal from external device needed
Contact the installer
Check that the actuator is correctly
installed
Replace the actuator
