◆ Preparation before testing
Place all control levers in the "NEUTRAL"

◆ Test gear shift lever safety switch
Sit on the driver's seat.

Shift the gear shift lever to: "F", "N" or

air cleaner and throttle valve and the screws
fixing the air cleaner, and then remove the air
cleaner.
Remove the air filter element.
Remove the sponge material from its frame.
Wash the sponge
thoroughly in solvent.
Squeeze the excess solvent out of the sponge
material and let it dry.
Inspect the sponge material and replace it if
damaged.
Thoroughly apply foam air filter oil or other
quality liquid foam air filter oil (not spray type)
to the sponge material.
Pull the sponge material over its frame.
