Installation
To install the Intelix DIGI-VGASD-WP-S balun, perform the following steps:
1. Identify the pin configuration of the baluns and RJ45 connectors on the
twisted pair cabling. To eliminate crosstalk, the pin configuration must
follow the EIA/TIA 568B standard. Please ensure that wiring is straight-
through.
2. Power-off all connecting audio, video, and control equipment.
3. Verify the wallbox the DIGI-VGASD-WP-S send balun will be mounted
into is double-gang and double-deep.
4. Connect the DIGI-VGASD-WP-S send balun to the twisted pair cable.
Connect the power supply.
5. Mount the DIGI-VGASD-WP-S send balun into the double-gang wallbox.
6. Connect a compatible receive balun to the twisted pair cable which is
connected to the DIGI-VGASD-WP-S send balun. Connect the power
supply.
Compatible Intelix receive baluns include:
DIGI-VGASD-WP-R
DIGI-VGASD-R
7. Connect the DIGI-VGASD-WP-S send balun to the VGA output of the
video source, the audio output of the audio source, and an IR or RS232
control source. If desired, connect a local monitor.
Note the DIGI-VGASD-WP-S does not support IR and RS232
simultaneously. If both signals are connected, IR will take precedence
over RS232.
