REMOVING AND INSTALLING BLADE
WARNING: TO AVOID INJURY from passing the blade through the slot in the table by the access hole in the
lower blade holder, slide the top blade into the pin recess of the top blade holder.
1. Install the blade by inserting one end through the
slot in the table then the access hole in the lower
blade holder, slide the top blade into the pin recess
of the top blade holder. You may need to press
down lightly on the upper end by using the T-style
tool.
2. If the blade is UNDER TENSIONED, it will break
more frequently. The thicker, harder and more
abrasive the wood you are cutting the more
blades you will have to replace. Blade breakage
is also caused by the following: overworking the
blade by going too fast, twisting or bending the
blade; overusing the blade when it is dull; OVER
AGGRESSIVE FEEDING of the workpiece into the
blade.
3. Loosen tension on the blade by pressing the T-style
tool into the upper end of the blade holder and
turning it.
4. Loosen 2 screws on blade holder. Remove blade by
pulling it forward.
5. In order to avoid uncontrolled lifting of the work piece, the teeth of the blades used on the scroll saw
should always be installed point downward.
