Configuration
Configures the output characteristics of the speakers.
• When you configure the speaker size, select "Large" if the woofer diameter of your speaker is
16 cm (6-1/4") or larger or "Small" if it is smaller than 16 cm (6-1/4").
❑ Front
Selects the size of the front speakers.
Settings
Select this for large speakers.
Large
The front speakers will produce all of the front channel frequency
components.
Select this for small speakers.
Small (default)
The subwoofer will produce front channel components lower than the
specified crossover frequency (default: 80Hz).
• "Front" is automatically set to "Large" when both "Subwoofer 1" and "Subwoofer 2" are set to "None".
❑ Center
Selects whether or not a center speaker is connected and its size.
Settings
Select this for large speaker.
Large
The center speaker will produce all of the center channel frequency
components.
Select this for small speaker.
Small (default)
The subwoofer will produce center channel components lower than the
specified crossover frequency (default: 80Hz).
Select this when no center speaker is connected.
None
The front speakers will produce center channel audio.
❑ Surround
Selects whether or not surround speakers are connected and its size.
Settings
Select this for large speakers.
Large
The surround speakers will produce all of the surround channel
frequency components.
Select this for small speakers.
Small (default)
The subwoofer will produce surround channel components lower than
the specified crossover frequency (default: 80Hz).
Select this when no surround speakers are connected.
None
The front speakers will produce surround channel audio. Virtual
CINEMA DSP works when you select a sound program.
❑ Surround Back
Selects whether or not surround back speakers are connected and its size.
Settings
Select this when 1 large speaker is connected.
Large x1
The surround back speaker will produce all of the surround back channel
frequency components.
Select this when 2 large speakers are connected.
Large x2
The surround back speakers will produce all of the surround back channel
frequency components.
Select this when 1 small speaker is connected.
Small x1
The subwoofer will produce surround back channel components lower than
the specified crossover frequency (default: 80Hz).
Select this when 2 small speakers are connected.
Small x2
The subwoofer will produce surround back channel components lower than
(default)
the specified crossover frequency (default: 80Hz).
Select this when no surround back speakers are connected.
None
The surround speakers and subwoofer (or front speakers) will produce
surround back channel audio.
• "Surround Back" is automatically set to "None" when "Surround" is set to "None".
❑ Front Presence
Selects whether or not front presence speakers are connected.
Settings
Use (default)
Select this when front presence speakers are connected.
None
Select this when no front presence speakers are connected.
❑ Rear Presence
Selects whether or not to rear presence speakers are connected.
Settings
Use
Select this when rear presence speakers are connected.
None (default)
Select this when no rear presence speakers are connected.
• "Rear Presence" is automatically set to "None" when "Surround" or "Front Presence" is set to "None".
