Introduction

This chapter describes how to perform basic tasks with a terminal that has been configured
and charged. For information on configuring the terminal, see
Terminal.

Powering the PDT 7200

Power for the PDT 7200 is provided by a Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack. Before powering
on the terminal, initialize it and install a new or fully-charged battery pack. Refer to
4, Cradle Setup and Operation
Configuring the Terminal
To power the PDT 7200 on or off, press the

Booting the Terminal

Warm booting the terminal is similar to performing a CTRL+ALT+DEL on a PC. To warm
boot the terminal, press and hold the
boot timeout value of 16 seconds.
Cold booting the terminal generates a system reset, the same as a power-on boot on a
standard PC. To cold boot the terminal, press and hold the
terminal reboots.

Suspending and Resuming Operation

To suspend or resume operation, press the PWR key
also resume operation from various wakeup sources (if enabled through the application). The
wakeup sources available on the PDT 7200 are listed in
