Messages and Signals

Display messages
Note: If you have turned on the Caller ID function, see page 139 for
display messages related to Caller ID.

This appears if you press the e-mail key without
having entered your Internet account information in
the Internet fax. See Chapter 2 to enter your account
information. If you have already entered your account
information, make sure you have selected the correct
account in the Provider Select setting (see page 51).
The print compartment cover (under the operation
panel) is open. Open the operation panel (grasp the
top and pull toward you), and then press down firmly
on both sides of the print compartment cover to close
it.
The original document is jammed. See the following
section, Clearing Paper Jams.
The Internet fax could not connect to your provider
when you tried to send an e-mail message, and will
automatically attempt the call again (see page 59).
A fax has been received in memory because the
imaging film needs replacement, you have run out of
printing paper, or the paper is jammed. The fax will
print out automatically when the problem is fixed.
The imaging film may need replacement. Check the
film and replace if necessary.
The FUNCTION key has been pressed.
The HOLD/SEARCH key has been pressed to put the
other party on hold during a phone conversation.
Press the HOLD/SEARCH again to take the other
party off hold.
