About receiving file attachments
Your Internet fax is only able to receive and print out file attachments
that are in TIFF-S format (a file attachment is a computer file that is
sent together with an e-mail message). If you receive a file attachment
that is not in TIFF-S format, a report giving information about the
incompatible attachment will appear at the end of the printed e-mail
message.
Note: TIFF-S format is TIFF format with any of the following
resolutions:
Standard:
Fine:
Super fine: 200 dpi
Incompatible file attachments are normally deleted from your
provider's mail server after your Internet fax retrieves your e-mail. If
you wish to have incompatible attachments retained in your
provider's mail server so you can retrieve them using a computer, see
the following section.
Retaining incompatible file attachments
If you wish to use a computer to receive file attachments that the
Internet fax cannot print, you can set the Internet fax to retain the
attachments in your provider's mail server instead of automatically
deleting them when it retrieves e-mail.
