Configuring password authentication for Telnet login

Prerequisites
You have logged in to the device.
By default, log in to the device through the console port without authentication and have user privilege level
3 after login. For information about logging in to the device with the default configuration, see
"Configuration
Procedure
To configure password authentication for Telnet login:
Step
1. Enter system view.
2. Enable Telnet.
3. Enter one or multiple VTY
user interface views.
4. Specify the password
authentication mode.
5. Set the local password.
6. Configure the user privilege
level for login users.
7. Configure common settings
for VTY user interfaces.
When you log in to the device through Telnet again:
