Active/Standby Configuration
The following table details the capacity requirements that can be applied to
either active/active design.

Node 1
Operating system (with MSCS)
Nonclustered applications and services
Server1 clustered applications and services
Server2 clustered applications and services
(if Server2 is set up to fail applications and
services to Server1)
* Processing power, memory, and nonshared storage
In an active/standby configuration, only one node actively runs applications
and services. The other node is in an idle, or standby, state. Assume Node 1 is
the active node and Node 2 is the standby node.
