Marks can be electrically drawn on the screen to depict navigation buoys, sunken vessels,
lighthouses, etc. Further, marks can denote when a net is thrown, fishing started, net retrieved,
etc.
Marks are available in ten types (see below) and seven colors (red, yellow, blue, cyan, green,
white, and purple). The colors available appear on key labels of the numeric keys 1 through 7. In
addition to those marks, marks fed from external equipment are automatically inscribed on the
display. These include time mark, water temperature mark, tide mark, external event mark, depth
mark, fish mark, and course mark. (Appropriate equipment is required to display these marks.)
Chapter 13 describes how to display marks generated by external equipment.
Standard Marks

3.1 Entering Marks

Marks can be entered seven ways: by entering latitude and longitude, range and bearing from
own ship, Loran C LOPs, Decca LOPs, own position mark, by +cursor, and by Loran A LOPs.
3.1.1 Entering marks by latitude and longitude position
1. Press [MENU], [3] to display the Mark/Line menu.
