4. Operate EBL and VRM rotary controls, and [A/C RAIN], [A/C SEA] and [GAIN] controls. For
the EBL and VRM rotary controls, the corresponding indication on the screen should
increment up or down with control adjustment. The bar above the indication [A/C RAIN], [A/C
SEA] and [GAIN] should lengthen or shorten with operation of corresponding controls.
To quit the radar test, press the [MENU] key.

14.4 Clearing Memories

Memories should be cleared whenever the program ROM is changed or error is found by the
diagnostic facility. Be sure to save required data to a floppy disk or memory card before clearing
a memory.
This equipment has three methods by which to clear memories:
Clear all memories: Clears all memories.
Clear specific memory: Clears specific memory.
Clear GPS memory (GP-280/380/680 only): Clears Almanac stored in built-in GPS receiver.
When the Almanac is cleared Cold start is executed to receive the latest Almanac.
14.4.1 Clearing all memories or working memory
1. Press [MENU], [0], [7] to open the Setup menu.
2. Select Clear All Memories and Yes to clear all memories or Clear Specific Memory and Yes
to clear the working memory.
3. Press [9], [9], [9], [ENT] to clear.
4. Turn the power off.
Note: External waypoint (99) from external navigator is not cleared; it is shown on the display at
next power-up.
14.4.2 Clearing GPS memory
1. Press [MENU], [0], [7] to open the Setup menu.
2. Show Yes from the GPS Clear field.
3. Press [9], [9], [9], [ENT] to clear.
4. Turn the power off.
