• When installing the reed valve assembly in
':Ylinder apply thread lock " 1342" to securing
screws.

• De-carbon the crown of the piston and piston
ring grooves. After cleaning the grooves,
fit
the
rings and rotate them in their respective grooves
to be sure that they move smoothly,
• Carbon in groove is liable to cause the piston
ri ng to get stuck in the groove, and this condi-
tion will lead to reduced engine power output.
• A p iston w hose sliding surface is badly grooved
or scuffed due to overheat ing must be rep laced
with a new one.
• Shallow grooves or minor scuff can be removed
by grinding with emery paper of aoout # 400.
