    DVMRe Matrix: Digital Video Multiplexer Recorder, Sixteen-Channel, Color, Matrix. 1.2 Product Description The DVMRe Matrix is a video multiplexer capable of recording from multiple cameras to one or more hard drives while simultaneously providing playback.     Matrix Audio PCB The Matrix Audio PCB connects to the DVMRe Matrix via the Aux Port. The Matrix Audio PCB provides connectors for the Audio Input and Output, and BNC connectors for Monitors C, D, and E.

    SCSI and IEEE 1394 archiving devices should not be connected to the GE Security NOTE DVMRe Matrix simultaneously. Archiving support is only available for one or the other type of interface at a time. SCSI Port The unit is equipped with a SCSI port for Connector: 50 Pin, High Density SCSI-2.

    Loop the power cord end around and insert into the power receptacle on the back panel. It is important that the power-up procedures be followed carefully.     1. Energize the monitors and all of the cameras. Power: 60 Watt (5 Amp) 2. Energize the DVMRe Matrix. Connector: 2.1mm barrel, center positive Once power is applied to the unit, it will begin its power-up procedure. The unit will begin by displaying the software version on Monitor-A, then the unit will begin recording automatically.

    DMVRe Matrix Basic Operations 2.1 Principal Operating Modes The DVMRe Matrix has three principal modes of operation: • Live Viewing. • Playback. • Recording. All three of these modes can operate simultaneously. Each mode is discussed in detail later in this section.

    Searching Recorded Data The DVMRe Matrix has a powerful search interface feature that allows the user to search for data on the internal hard disk or an external archive device. The user may search the data for previous recording sessions, text insertion, alarm conditions, or for motion in a selectable area of the scene.

    While viewing a multiscreen display, additional cameras (cameras not shown in the multiscreen display) can be sequenced in the lower right hand cameo by pressing the Sequence button.     Pressing the Camera Number a third time displays an ATM/POS text display. This feature can be used during live viewing mode to verify that the DVMRe Matrix is receiving ATM/POS text, or in Playback mode to review recorded text and video.

    2.11 The Print Image Feature Pressing the Function and Zoom button will print the currently displayed image. If any multiscreen is the display mode, the DVMRe Matrix will switch to a single image display of the last selected fullscreen camera, freeze the image, and send to the default printer.
