Attaching the DIC module
Attach the DIC module into the turret of the LWD
condenser.
Loosen the hexagonal socket head screw at the
upper part of the LWD condenser with the hexagonal
screwdriver. And then, remove the cover. You can
see an opening for the DIC module and the diagonal
illumination diaphragm inside the cover. Attach the
DIC module into the opening.
To attach the DIC module N1
Rotate the turret so that you can see the OBL label
at the side of the turret. This is the position to insert
the DIC module N1.
To attach the DIC module N2
Rotate the turret so that you can see the O label at
the side of the turret. This is the position to insert the
DIC module N2.

Connecting the optical fiber light source

Insert the optical fiber into the optical fiber
adapter on the back of the microscope.

Push in the optical fiber as far as it goes, then
fix it with the M4 hexagonal socket head set
screw.

Fixing the microscope main body
Insert four hexagonal socket head bolts into the
screw holes on the vibration isolator through the
holes of the base auxiliary legs at the base of the
microscope. And tighten the bolts to fix the
microscope.
• To use XY mover manufactured by Narishige
Co., LTD
Loosen M5 hexagonal socket head bolts on the
both sides of the microscope base to remove the
base auxiliary legs.
Mount the microscope on the XY mover and align
the screw holes for the base auxiliary legs and
the screw holes on the XY mover. Then, tighten
M5 hexagonal socket head bolts to fix the
microscope.
