Attaching an eyepiece tube
Attach an eyepiece tube on the eyepiece tube
mount part of the microscope main body and fix it
with an M4 hexagonal socket head set screw.
When using an epi-fl attachment, the variable
magnification double port attachment, or the simple
DIC analyzer, attach the eyepiece tube onto the
eyepiece tube mount part of the upper part of the
epi-fl attachment, the variable magnification double
port attachment, or the simple DIC analyzer, and fix
the eyepiece tube with an M4 hexagonal socket
head set screw.

Attaching eyepieces
Attach eyepieces of the same magnification.
There is a positioning protrusion on the right sleeve. Align the notch of the eyepiece with the
protrusion on the sleeve and slide in the eyepiece. Some types of eyepiece tube do not have
such protrusions.
If necessary, attach optional rubber eye-guards into the grooves around the eyepieces.

Assembling the stage unit and attaching the LWD condenser

Attaching the stage onto the substage
(1)
Remove the four M5 hexagonal socket
head bolts on the upper part of the
substage.
(2)
Attach the stage onto the substage.
Secure the stage with the four M5
hexagonal socket head bolts removed
in Step (1).

Attaching the stage unit onto the
microscope
Take the stage unit assembled in the
previous steps, "Attaching the stage onto the
substage." Insert the stage unit into the
dovetail of the microscope from the front
side to the limit. And then, fix it with two M4
hexagonal socket head set screws.
