Step input of a rhythm pattern

After preparing, you can input notes one
at a time (step input) to create a rhythm
pattern.

Start input.
Press

Move the cursor to the position where
you want to input or delete notes.
The horizontal axis shows the bars and
the vertical axis shows the pads by
number. One step (one box) is the length
of the quantize setting.

Play a pad to input a note at the cur-
rent position. Its volume will corre-
spond to the strength you play it (and
the sensitivity setting).

To delete an input a note or change
its volume:

Turn to change the volume of the
note at that position.
Loud (high velocity)
Quiet (low velocity)
Press and hold
and press the lit pad to erase the note
at that position.

NOTE
● Notes that are at locations that cannot
be moved to with the current quantize
setting cannot be deleted. A note at such a
position appears as an "X".
● In Step 4, you can also use the dial to input
and delete notes.
