Removing the System Board
To remove the computer's system board, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-27
through 4-29.
1.
Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the power cord and all
external cables connected to the computer.
2.
Remove the optional PCMCIA card, optional memory card(s), keyboard unit,
optional turbo cache memory module, back cover, optional expansion card,
bottom cover, HDD, 5.25-inch bay (T6600C) or CD-ROM drive (T6600C/CD and
T6600C/CDV), back panel board, and DC fan unit as described in Sections 4.2
through 4.5 and 4.7 through 4.14.
3.
Remove the two M3x6 screws and two M2.5x6 screws from the connector panel
board and take off the board (Figure 4-27).
