FIELD REPLACEABLE UNIT DOCUMENTATION
COOLING MODULE/FAN REMOVAL
M2x4 brass screws
1. Remove two M2x4 brass screws securing the
CPU HS spring and the FIN.
3. Lift out the CPU HS spring and the FIN.
3. Remove the glass tape securing the FAN harness.

SYSTEM BOARD REMOVAL

Sound cable
PJ9
1. Remove the memory module from PJ3 on the
system board.
2. Disconnect the sound cable from PJ9 and the two
flat cables from PJ17 and PJ7 on the system board.
3. Disconnect the DC-IN jack from PJ8800 on the system
board.

FAN harness
4. Remove the DC-IN jack from its slot and lift up
insulator to access the FAN harness..
5. Disconnect the the FAN harness from PJ780 on the
system board.
6. Remove one M2.5x4 black screw securing the FAN
and lift out the FAN.

4. Disconnect the battery con holder from the system
board.
5. Remove one M2.5x4 flat head black screw securing
the HDD guide assembly. Lift out the HDD guide assy..
6. Remove one hex screw and one M2.5x4 flat head
black screw securing the system board.
7. Lift out the system board.
