2. The child restraint system should
be of the proper type and size to fit
the child.
Rearward facing for infants, front
facing for small children.
Make sure the restraint system fits
your child. Check the manufacturer's
instructions and labels for height and
weight limits.
3. The child restraint system should
fit the vehicle seating position (or
positions) where it will be used.
Before purchasing a conventional
child restraint system, or using a
previously purchased one, we
recommend that you test the
restraint system in the specific
vehicle seating position or positions
where the child restraint system will
be used.
