( 3 ) Combined operation mode 1 (Pr. 79 "operation mode selection" = 3)
The start signal is an external signal.
The frequency setting signal is set using the optional control
panel or parameter unit.
Preparation
! Start signal ...............Switch, relay, etc.
! Operation unit...........Control panel (FR-PA02
! Connection cable......Refer to (1) PU operation mode.
! FR-E5P (option) .......Refer to (1) PU operation mode.

The start signal is entered from the operation command key
of the optional control panel.
The frequency setting signal is set using the external
frequency setting signal.

! Frequency ..................0 to 5V, 0 to 10V or 4 to 20mA DC
setting signal
! Operation unit.............Control panel (FR-PA02
! Connection cable........Refer to (1) PU operation mode.
! FR-E5P (option) .........Refer to (1) PU operation mode.

Communication operation can be performed by connecting a personal computer and
the PU connector with the RS-485 communication cable.
The inverter setup software is available as an FR-E500 inverter start-up support
software package.

! RS-485, RS-232C converter......... To be prepared when the communication port of the
parameter unit (FR-PU04)

potentiometer or from outside the
inverter

Cable: Cable conforming to EIA568
(e.g. 10BASE-T cable)
personal computer has RS-232C specifications.
