Lifting the vehicle with the jack

First read and observe the introductory information and safety warn-
ings on page 194.
Only apply the jack at the jacking points shown (marks on the body)
ways use the jacking point nearest to the wheel in question ⇒
The vehicle must only be jacked via the jacking points.

1. Choose a flat and firm surface for jacking the vehicle.

2. Switch off the engine; for vehicles with a manual gearbox, select a gear, or
shift the selector lever to P position, ⇒ p age 98 and firmly apply the hand
brake ⇒ p age 104.
Slacken the wheel bolts on the wheel you will be changing ⇒ p age 195.
