Engine oils are continuously being further developed. Škoda partners are always
notified on any changes. Škoda therefore recommends to have the engine oil
changed by a Škoda partner.

NOTICE
● Only use the engine oil specification explicitly approved by Škoda. Use of
other engine oils may cause engine damage!
● Do not mix additive lubricants with engine oil. Damages resulting from
such additives are excluded from the warranty.

Preparations
● Park the vehicle on a level surface to avoid reading an incorrect engine oil lev-
el.
● To check the engine oil level, make sure the engine is warm. Switch off the en-
gine and wait a few minutes to allow the engine oil to return to the oil pan.
● Open the bonnet
● The engine oil filler opening is indicated by the symbol  on the cap
and the oil dipstick by the coloured handle.
Checking the engine oil level
● Pull out the oil dipstick from the guide tube and wipe it off with a clean cloth.
● Reinsert the dipstick into the guide tube as far as it goes. If there is a marking

● Pull out the dipstick again and read off the engine oil level ⇒  t able on

● After reading the engine oil level, insert the dipstick into the guide tube all the
way down.
