Practical information
Manually unlocking the front passenger door and rear doors

First read and observe the introductory information and safety warn-
ings
on page 187.
The passenger door and the rear doors each can be locked manually.
● Open the door.
● Remove the rubber seal in the face of the door. The seal is marked with a lock

● Flip out the key bit of the vehicle key ⇒  p age 32.
● Insert the flipped-out key bit into the recess and turn the vehicle key in the
⇒  f ig.
direction away from the vehicle
● Reinstall the rubber seal and close the door completely.
● Check that the door is locked.
● Repeat for the other doors as necessary.
● Have the vehicle checked immediately by a specialist garage.
Note
Doors can be unlocked and opened from the inside by pulling the door opening
lever. If necessary, the door opening lever must be pulled twice ⇒  p age 35.

If the vehicle is to be moved or towed in case of a power supply failure, the emer-
gency unlock lever must be used to move the selector lever to position N, e.g., if
the battery is empty.
