Highpoint HPT 372 Driver Installation
You can use your HPT372 as
1. Normal IDE function.
2. RAID function.
To use IDE3 and IDE4 as normal IDE, please do the following steps
1. Go to the CMOS setup

2. Install the HP372 driver, see driver installation instruction below.
To use IDE3 and IDE4 as RAID controller, please do the following steps
1. Connect 2 hard disk on IDE3/4, set them both as master.
2. Go to the CMOS setup

3. Go to the CMOS setup
"First Boot Device" to "Other Device".
4. Set the "Other Device Boot Order" to "IDE3/IDE4,SCSI".
5. Press "Ctrl+H" when the HighPoint BIOS summary screen appear.
6. Create a disk array, check appendix A for create instructions.
7. Install the HP372 driver, see driver installation instruction below.
To boot from the HPT372 controller, (IDE 3 or IDE 4)
1. Go to the CMOS setup
First Boot Device to "Other Device".
2. Set the "Other Device boot order" to "IDE3/IDE4,SCSI".
Ways to install the HighPoint Driver
1. After installation of an Operating System or on an existing system
2. During Operating System installation.
