FRONT AND REAR BRAKES

REMOVING THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER
CYLINDER
NOTE:
Before removing the front brake master cylin-
der, drain the brake fluid from the entire brake
system.
1. Remove:
S rear view mirror (right)
S brake lever/compression spring
S brake switch 1
2. Remove:
S union bolt 2
S copper washers
S brake hose 3
NOTE:
To collect any remaining brake fluid, place a
container under the master cylinder and the end
of the brake hose.
3. Remove:
S master cylinder bracket
S master cylinder

REMOVING THE REAR BRAKE MASTER
CYLINDER
NOTE:
Before removing the rear brake master cylinder,
drain the brake fluid from the entire brake sys-
tem.
1. Remove:
S brake switch connector
S cotter pin/washer
S pin
S bolt/brake pedal assembly
2. Remove:
S union bolt 1
S copper washers 2
S brake hose 3
NOTE:
To collect any remaining brake fluid, place a
container under the master cylinder and the end
of the brake hose.
3. Remove:
S clips/reservoir hose
S master cylinder assembly
