• If shutting down the OS takes 120 seconds or longer, specify "Does not stop power output."
In this case, the UPS does not stop automatically, so, if a power failure continues after shutting down the
OS, stop the UPS with its Power Switch.
If AC power is recovered during shutdown processing
● IAfter the shutdown processing finishes and the computer stops, do not restart it even if commercial
power is recovered.
Wait until the UPS makes a complete stop of output and then restart the computer.
(When the time specified as "Power output stop delay time setting" has elapsed, the UPS stops output.)
If you start the computer before the UPS stops, the computer stops during operation.
2. When performing the auto shutdown processing by Windows XP/2000's UPS
service
Using the connecting cable attached to optional PowerCredit along with the dedicated driver software, you
can use Windows XP/2000's standard UPS management software.
● Connection
For DOS/V PCs .... Use the connecting cable attached to PowerCredit.
Connect the connecting cable between the Contact Signal Connector of the UPS and the serial port on
your computer.
◆ Configuring the setting switches
Specify "60 seconds," "120 seconds," or "Does not stop power output" as the power output stop delay
time setting (setting switches 1 and 2 ).
Specify one of the time settings longer that the time required to shut down the OS for the devices
connected to the UPS (time from when shutting down the OS starts to when the computer automatically
stops so that the power can be stopped).
