ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM (T135SE)

4. Starter relay
9Remove the starter relay from the starter
relay coupler on the wire harness.
9Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) and bat-
tery (DC 12 V) to the starter relay coupler as
shown.
Positive battery terminal → → brown 1 1
Negative battery terminal → → blue/white 2 2
Positive tester probe → → red 3 3
Negative tester probe → → red/white 4 4

9Does the starter relay have continuity
between red and red/white?
YES

5. Main switch
9Check the main switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
9Is the main switch OK?
YES

Replace the main

6. Start switch
9Check the start switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
9Is the start switch OK?
YES

7. Wiring
9Check the entire starting system wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM".
9Is the starting system wiring properly con-
nected and without defects?
YES
The starting sys-
tem circuit is OK.
