Remote Control
The remote control allows remote operation of the fireplace.
!
Do not connect 110-120 VAC to the gas control valve or control wiring system of this unit.
1 Open the access door. Remove and discard the green jumper wire (see the illustration below).
Attach the remote control wire to the top two posts of the on/off switch.
+ It is easiest to route the remote control wire prior to installing the fireplace. Route the wire to a
location near the gas inlet. Allow 3' of wire for hookup inside the fireplace.

2 Route the remote control wire through either of the gas inlet holes (you may wish to wrap the wire in
electrical tape where it passes through the fireplace to prevent damage to the wire).
3 Turn the gas control valve to "OFF". Install a standard 9 volt battery into both the remote control
receiver and remote control.
Remove this
screw with a
phillips head
screwdriver.

Back of on/off switch
Look behind the on/off switch and locate the green jumper
wire that attaches to the top two posts of the on/off switch.
Remove and discard the jumper wire and attach the remote
control wire to the two posts the jumper wire was attached
to. Route the remote control wire through the gas inlet hole.
This clip holds the
battery in place.
Attach the remote
control wire to
these two quick-
connects.
