4 The remote control receiver is mounted to the wall and requires a hole 1-3/4" wide by 2-1/2" high.
Choose a location near the fireplace that may be reached with the 50' length of remote control wire.
Cut the hole and route the remote control wire through this hole. Attach the remote control wire to
the remote control receiver by inserting the quick-connects together.

Thermostat
(Part # 99300650)
The thermostat allows the fireplace to turn on and off automatically for consistent room temperature.
!
Do not connect 110-120 VAC to the gas control valve or control wiring system of this unit.
? The directions below detail a thermostat that is hooked up in "series" with the main burner electrical
circuit. The ON/OFF switch must be left "ON" for the thermostat to operate (when turned to "OFF",
the fireplace is always off). NOTE: some installers prefer to hook the thermostat up "parallel" with
the main burner electrical circuit. This type of installation allows the ON/OFF switch to over-ride
the thermostat and turn the fireplace on, even if the thermostat does not call for heat. Make sure the
home owner is aware of how the thermostat works in conjunction with the ON/OFF switch.
1 Open the access door. Remove and discard the green jumper wire (see the illustration below).
Attach the thermostat wire to the top two posts of the on/off switch.
+ It is easiest to route the thermostat wire prior to installing the fireplace. Route the wire to a location
near the gas inlet. Allow 3' of wire for hookup inside the fireplace.
