8. Lift the input spur gear, along with the shift fork,
spacer and detent shaft out of the chain case hous-
ing. See Figure 5.67.
9. Double nut the counter shaft and remove the nut,
lock washer and Belleville washer from the bottom of
the shaft using an 11/16" wrench. See Figure 5.68.
10. Lift the counter shaft out of the housing, leaving the
bottom gear and the washer beneath it in place.
