5. Lift the washer off of the main shaft. See Figure 5.40.
6. Lift the wheel gear off of the main shaft.

7. Below the main shaft wheel gear is a wheel drive
transfer gear. Lift it off of the main shaft.
See Figure 5.42.
NOTE: The wheel drive transfer gear is symmetric: It can be
installed with either side up.
• The steps on the bottom fit into the gear that
drives the wheels in reverse.
8. Lift the bottom (reverse wheel drive) gear off of the
main shaft. See Figure 5.43.
